The Vision

We are not just opening a clothes and hygiene closet; we are launching a Community Boutique. Opening January 2, 2027 at 12903 Gordon Road (previous teen center), the Helping Hands Closet will be a curated, 1,100 sq. ft. space where neighbors in crisis are treated as honored guests. Our mission is to move families from the feeling of “charity” to the experience of “community.”

Who Is an Operations Steward?

An Operations Steward is more than a volunteer — they are a Keeper of the House and a Maker of First Impressions. Before a single guest is greeted, their work has already spoken: this place is clean, safe, beautiful, and ready for you.

Your Impact in the Space

  • 01

The Sanctuary Standard: Keep the boutique spotless, fresh, and inviting — floors, fixtures, racks, and fitting areas cared for so the space always feels like a retail sanctuary.

  • 02

The Setup Crew: Prepare the space before guest hours — stations ready, racks in place, and every detail set so the morning begins with calm, not scramble.

  • 03

The Fix-It Faithful: Lend a hand with painting, fixtures, assembly, and small repairs as we transform 12903 Gordon Road into the boutique.

  • 04

The Safe & Ready Check: Keep walkways clear, supplies stocked, and the space functional and safe for guests and fellow volunteers.

  • 05

The Reset & Close: After guest hours, restore the space — so the next family walks into a boutique that feels brand new.

Why We Need You Now

To reach our goal of serving 25–50 families monthly in our first year, we are building a team of dependable Operations Stewards. A boutique only feels like a boutique when the space itself carries dignity — whether you are handy, organized, or simply willing, there is a place for you here.
