A Dignity Collective of Love First Christian Center

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor."

Ecclesiastes 4:9

The Vision

We are not just opening a clothes and hygiene closet; we are launching a Community Boutique. Opening January 2, 2027 at 12903 Gordon Road (previous teen center), the Helping Hands Closet will be a curated, 1,100 sq. ft. space where neighbors in crisis are treated as honored guests. Our mission is to move families from the feeling of “charity” to the experience of “community.”

Who Is a Community Connector?

A Community Connector is more than a volunteer — they are a Bridge Builder and a Storyteller of the Mission. They carry the heart of Helping Hands beyond our walls, connecting the boutique with churches, businesses, schools, and neighbors who want to help.

Your Impact in the Community

  • 01

The Bridge Builder: Connect Helping Hands with community partners, local churches, businesses, and organizations who can support the mission.

  • 02

The Storyteller: Share the heart behind the boutique — at events, over coffee, or online — so more people understand dignity-centered service.

  • 03

The Donation Drive Champion: Help organize drives for new socks, undergarments, hygiene essentials, and operational supplies.

  • 04

The Partner Care: Thank and update our supporters, helping every partner feel valued and connected to the lives they are touching.

  • 05

The Welcome Beyond Our Walls: Represent Helping Hands at outreach opportunities and community events, inviting others to join the Dignity Collective.

Why We Need You Now

To reach our goal of serving 25–50 families monthly in our first year, we need voices who will carry the vision into the community. Whether you love people, love organizing, or simply love this mission, there is a place for you here.
